Description

Red Flag Spray Tank Cleaner

Red Flag contains an effervescing agent, which agitates the cleaner to ensure it reaches all the sprayer parts. The bright red tracer dye shows the product as the boom and nozzles are flushed out.

Useage Information


Application Rate: Use Red Flag at a rate of 1kg per 800 litres of washout solution.


Cleaning Procedure – for full spray tank

  1. Immediately after spraying, drain main tank completely. Any contamination on the outside of the spraying equipment should be removed by washing with clean water
  2. Rinse inside of tank with clean water and flush through boom and hoses using at least one-tenth of the spray tank volume. Drain tank completely
  3. Half fill tank with clean water and add Red Flag at the recommended rate. Agitate and then flush the boom and hoses with the cleaning solution. Top up with water making sure the tank is completely full and allow to stand for 15 minutes with agitation. Again flush the boom and hoses and drain the tank completely.
  4. Nozzles and filters should be removed and cleaned separately with a solution containing 50 grams of Red Flag per 10 litres of water
  5. Rinse the tank with clean water and flush through the boom and hoses using at least on-tenth of the spray tank volume. Drain tank completely
  6. For disposal of washings follow the Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Pesticides. Note: If it is not possible to drain the tank completely, step 3 must be repeated before going to step 4

Cleaning Procedure – for using washout tanks

  1. Immediately after spraying, drain main tank completely
  2. Add Red Flag at the recommended rate to at least one-tenth of the spray tank volume
  3. Agitate and flush the spray tank for 15 minutes before flushing boom and nozzles and wash any contamination from the outside of the sprayer
  4. Nozzles and filters should be removed and cleaned separately with a solution containing 50 grams of Red Flag per 10 litres of water
  5. For disposal of washings follow the Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Pesticides. Note: If it is not possible to drain the tank completely, step 3 must be repeated before going to step 4
