Never a company to underestimate the worth of an employee, Dennis Mowers is proud to recognise the 40 years of service given by Ray Williams.
Ray joined the company in 1970 at 15, straight from school. He has been a stalwart in the Machine shop having worked in all of Dennis's engineering divisions. A loyal company man, Ray has been married for 30 years to Karen and has 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
A keen advocate of the outdoors, Ray has managed to cycle to work every day, whatever the weather. He worked out that he's made in excess of 8000 trips, or nearly 3 times round the world!
At a presentation to mark the occasion, the Company and work colleagues presented him with Carp fishing equipment as he is very much into fishing - and not to leave his wife Karen out, some champagne for them to celebrate together.
Handing the gifts over, MD Ian Howard mused that you couldn't buy half a pint of petrol these days for what a gallon cost when Ray joined Dennis. "Employees like Ray are invaluable to a company like ours."
