All go for GoGreen

By Kevin Whitby

The success story of the iron nutrient product GoGreen Granules continues. Feedback from end users has shown high levels of performance satisfaction, from ease of application through to green up effects within 24 hours of application. Trial results have shown high levels of longevity throughout the period of use.

GoGreen Granules can be used all year round but is ideally applied in August or September to provide colour throughout the autumn and then a second application is made in January or February to provide colour through to the start of the growing season. The mini granular formulation can be applied through conventional fertiliser spreaders at a rate of 40gms/m2.

The product was launched as Saltex 2002, concluding a two-year product development programme carried out in conjunction with Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research in Aberystwyth. The brief was simple, to develop an easy to apply, long lasting iron source for turf grass. The final formulation is a mini granule based on iron pyrites with an analysis of 2-0-10 with 8.7% Fe. A high quality pure form of iron pyrites is used to ensure a reliable, slow release iron fraction is obtained.
