Another season done and dusted. Actually, it has not been a bad one for us, in total we only had about 65 hours of play and training at the stadium. At the end we had close on 90% grass cover left on the pitch compared to 50% last year. That was understandable because we had well over 100 hours of use in 2004/05, and a harsh winter. This year the weather has been quite favourable.

A public planning enquiry delayed the start to Derby County's new training ground. Mark Robinson and his team got their noses to the grindstone, quite literally!

Before joining Derby I was the assistant at Sheffield Wednesday. A friend of mine told me about the new stadium being built so, when the position was advertised, I applied for the job. I was interviewed by the Manager and Secretary and offered the position-full article inside
