In my role as Fulham F.C Head of Corporate Grounds I completed an overseas visit in July 2003 to see at first hand the two national football stadiums in Ghana. My initial brief was to assess the quality and state of the two stadiums, and to look at a number of areas: Read Inside.

It has to be said that as a life long supporter of Fulham FC, I was more than happy to take a trip down to London to meet Frank Boahene, the man in charge at the Cottage. The pitch was originally constructed in 1987 using a little known type of pitch construction called the ‘cell system’.
