Dave Wright formed Somerset Landscapes Ltd 15 years ago when he was made redundant from Somerset County Council. Today he employs 30 staff and has a burgeoning fleet of mowing equipment, predominantly from Ransomes Jacobsen, the Ipswich-based manufacturer.

Plymouth City Council have introduced a unique combination of the latest Ransomes ride-on out front-rotary and Scag walk-behind rotary, all contained within a single mobile unit, to maintain school grounds in their area. The Ransomes HR 3300T, the lead machine in this combination, was purchased from local Ransomes Jacobsen dealer, PJ Flegg of Ivybridge.

A group of volunteers at the Chiltern Open Air Museum have painstakingly restored a 1947-built Ransomes 54” Tractor Thrasher, which is believed to be the only machine of its type in a UK museum and now sits proudly on display at Newland Park in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire.
