Continuing its commitment to support turf growers, leading grass seed breeder Barenbrug is sponsoring this year's Turfgrass Growers Association dinner, being held at Forest Pines Golf & Country Club Hotel, in Lincolnshire, in June.

Barenbrug's David Singleton said: "Turf growers have always been a very important sector for us and we have established an enviable reputation for going 'one-step further' for them. We were first with the introduction of our Zero:Zero quality standard which delivers fast establishment from high germination seed lots and have continued to introduce innovative mixtures and cultivars that deliver additional benefits.

"Rapid establishment and tensile strength are two of the major characteristics demanded by turf producers and by carefully combining our cultivars we are able to provide mixtures that produce strong consistent turf for faster harvest."

Chief executive of the Turfgrass Growers Association, Tim Mudge, said: "We are delighted that Barenbrug is supporting the TGA dinner, which is an important opportunity for the industry to get together and share ideas. The contribution Barenbrug is making to the event will go towards our research and development fund, which is the primary function of the TGA. Support from leading companies such as Barenbrug is essential for the continued growth of the industry."

Tickets for the dinner are still available and can be purchased online from the TGA show website which is www.turfshow2007.co.uk
