An Aberdeenshire village's bowling green has been the target for vandals who have ripped down the club flag, flooded and damaged the playing area, and broken and stolen benches in a series of overnight attacks.
Last night police were continuing investigations into the spate of incidents, while members of Pitmedden Bowling Club held a special meeting in their village clubhouse to discuss increased security measures.
