Distributor Lely UK's 'Partners in Turfcare' team will debut two new professional-performance brushcutters from the SOLO range of premium outdoor equipment at Harrogate Week 2010.
Ideal for tackling small and/or inaccessible grassed areas, tough grasses, overgrown brush and thickets around the golf course and in general landscape and amenity settings, the 142 SB and 154 SB Series Brushcutters are powered by SOLO's renowned two-stroke, petrol-driven engines, which maximise performance yet minimise emissions.
Both models benefit from a 28mm five-bearing drive shaft and come complete with a 250mm three-tooth grass-cutting blade and semi-automatic nylon head, which allows operators to slice through grass, weeds and overgrowth like a hot knife through butter, and makes light work of even the toughest of groundscare and landscaping tasks. The nylon head offers a generous cutting circle of 430mm that also allows users to cut large areas in less time, while the brushcutters' low fuel consumption and large tank capacity of 0.7litres with a relatively light weight of just 7.7kg each allow for longer working periods.
Special attention has also been paid to operator comfort. SOLO's effective anti-vibration system and super-quiet operation, together with carefully positioned debris guard, ensure the 142 SB and 154 SB are comfortable and safe to operate. Additional features such as an ergonomic central adjustment lever and comfortable double-shoulder harness with adjustable straps complete the brushcutters' user-friendly design.
