Many clubs seem to have the notion that once the square has been put to bed at the end of the season there is very little else to do. How wrong they are!

Eversholt Cricket Club are on a roll. They got through to the latter stages of the National Village Knockout tournament and recently appeared on Sky TV’s Cricket AM. With the all star Lashings team also paying them a visit this summer Groundsman Kevin Nichol had his work cut out.

This Sunday (16th September), Rotherham Phoenix Cricket Ground is hosting a benefit match to raise money for three cricket clubs in the area whose grounds were badly damaged by the floods earlier in the summer.
