Tiny tots at a nursery in Kidderminster, Worcester are enjoying their own little haven after the recent installation of SowGreen® artificial grass in their play garden.
There is always a danger of falls onto a play surface when children are enjoying themselves on playground equipment, so it's reassuring to know that the youngsters from Hickory Dickory Dock day nursery in Warbler Place are enjoying the new facility which is also helping to minimise the risk of them hurting themselves.
The brand new play area comes as Ofsted recommends that more schools and nurseries get pupils 'out and about'.
Nursery Manager Sue Paxton says that the new play area has been a big hit: "We wanted to offer a soft, textured play area for babies and toddlers to crawl around, explore their surroundings and enjoy being outdoors. SowGreen® offered the perfect solution and we are all so pleased with our new play area that the nursery has even attracted the interest of the local media!"
Parents of the children from the nursery also agree that it's a great idea as it is a place where the children can sit and have their own little garden which also allows getting the children out in all weathers without the risk of them getting muddy and stopping the children from enjoying the outdoor facilities to the full.
