CLS selfdrive has recently added a new piece of machinery to their extensive range of hire equipment. Kongskilde's Stonebear Stone Rake is designed to remove and collect stones, rubbish and small roots etc from sports pitches, golf courses and cultivated arable areas in final preparation for seeding or drilling.
Andrew Willis from CLS selfdrive is confident that by hiring the Stonebear Stone Rake his customers will be getting the ideal machine for clearing stony fields or for re-instating land which has been disturbed by for example - laying gas pipes or drainage systems. This can be achieved in only one pass within a 4metre operational width and maximum working depth of 7cm.
Best results are achieved when the soil is dry and cultivated. Heavy duty spikes draw the stones to the centre of the machine onto the sieve where the smaller stones and soil go through the sieve and back onto the ground. Depth is hydraulically controlled through an articulating drawbar.
Power transmission consists of V-belts to protect against overload and absorb shock forces when the drum or rakes engage a large stone.
The SB4000 collecting drum has a rotor with 18 tines and the SB5200 has 24 tines.
Unlike many stone picking machines the Stonebear operates with a low tractor power requirement of 55KW (72hp) SB4000 or 60kW (80hp) SB5200.
The Stonebear is a versatile heavy duty machine suitable for a wide range of stone removal applications in the agriculture, construction and landscaping industries.
