When Dartford Golf Club were considering replacing their ageing machinery with new equipment from local RANSOMES JACOBSEN'S dealer, Ernest Doe, contract hire proved to be the best way forward. RANSOMES JACOBSEN is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

Peter joined the club straight from school and has been there for 40 years. The 18-hole heathland course occupies just 70 acres and is renowned for its tight, tree-lined fairways. In fact, Peter has been planting trees on the course virtually every year of his 40-year tenure.
"Including myself, we have a greenkeeping team of just five, so having the right equipment is vitally important," he said. "This season we have added two Jacobsen G-Plex greens mowers, two TR3 trim mowers, two Cushman Turf Trucksters together with a Turfco 1530 WideSpin top dresser, a Jacobsen Fairway 305, a Ransomes Frontline 728 and a 47hp Iseki tractor.
"This new equipment is first class, the contract hire agreement works well and when you add the excellent service from Ernest Doe, we have a package that suits our needs perfectly."
