Dan Humphreys has worked in the sports industry for nearly 10 years, leaving school he joined Hyde CC as the junior grounds man. After just 2 seasons at Hyde, Daniel was taken on by a local sports ground contractor - Bancroft amenities LTD. Here Dan learnt his trade as a grounds man and covered the length and breadth of the country working on sports ground maintenance and construction.
During his 7 years at Bancroft it was clear that Daniel had a passion for cricket in particular the non-turf training facilities that Bancroft's installed. Dan worked his way from apprentice to Non-Turf Pitch Co-ordinator. In this role he helped developed many ideas and improved training facilities for the better. Also in this role he was required to manage and quality assure all works carried out on site.
Dan joined Stuart canvas in December 2011 and has already made inroads to setting up what will no doubt be a great add on to the Stuart Canvas Brand. Stuart canvas have high hopes for their venture and are already looking in to becoming ECB accredited with the goal to gain the ECB code of practise. Stuart Canvas CEO Ed Stoddart commented "this is a great addition to the expanding SCP and adds another highly skilled and motivated member to our team, i am delighted Dan has joined us"
Stuart Canvas are looking to push renovations of old systems and the need to bring so many old systems that are out of date back to a high standard. Many clubs are playing on carpets that a worn out and don't offer any incentive to train, here at Stuart Canvas we can offer a tailored refurbishment package to fit any club or school that's needs anything from new nets and carpets to increase the level of improvement of the facility all the way to brand new systems, no job is to big or small.
