Autumn is a time of the year when we usually see a greater influx of disease’s in turfgrass swards. This is mainly due to a combination of factors prevailing at the same time. Diseases of turf grasses result from infection by living organisms such as a fungus, bacteria, virus or nematode. A susceptible plant, favourable environment and a plant disease causal agent must be present over a period of time for a disease to occur.
