In the last few months Nottingham Forest have turned their fortunes around quite dramatically on the pitch, in more ways than one. Since the departure of Manager Gary Megson in February the caretaker management team of Frank Barlow and Ian McParland have transformed results with a run of Eight wins and two draws, putting the club in with a fighting chance to finish in the play offs.

To date 3 Water Companies - Southern Water, Mid Kent Water and Sutton and East Surrey Water have applied to the Secretary of State for Drought Orders, that if
granted would allow them ban non-essential use. These bans would mean these water companies could stop a wide variety of water uses, including watering sports
grounds and golf courses. However, each water company, in conjunction with DEFRA, will decide on what bans to put in place in their particular area.

Yesterday the Environment Minister, Elliot Morley told the Commons, "We are facing a two-year drought. We are facing the worst drought since 1975. In some parts of the south east, it is the worst drought for 100 years."

In order for the course at Williamwood Golf Club on the outskirts of Glasgow to be in prime condition for the centenary year celebrations later this year, course manager Robert Johnston has taken delivery of a Jacobsen AR250 articulated rotary mower, specially designed for maintaining and enhancing semi-roughs.
