Visit Calderdale Council Closed Loop Organics Exemplar on Thursday 8th November.
In response to support requested by several councils within the region on how to deal with their green waste, Recycling Action Yorkshire, in conjunction with Calderdale Council, will be running a half day event to disseminate findings from their composting trial.
Calderdale currently compost circa 2000 tonnes of their own collected organic waste and use it in a variety f applications. The event aims to introduce the system the council adopted and the hoops they had to go through in order to compost their own waste.
If you are interested in attending, or finding out more about the day please contact Mark Baker at recycling Action Yorkshire.
