The former St Andrews Bay Hotel, recently re-branded as the Fairmont St. Andrews, has taken delivery of a large fleet of golf cars and shuttle vehicles from E-Z-GO, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

Sitting high on the cliffs, just south of St. Andrews with matchless views across the bay, the hotel and its two golf courses offer the very highest standards of sport and hospitality. There are few locations in the UK, let alone Scotland, which can cater for a function for 1,000 guests and provide top quality golf.

"On the Devlin course," says Director of Golf Iain McInally, "about a quarter of all rounds will be played with a golf car, so that's about 4,500 golf car hires. Our golf car fleet is an important source of revenue generation and a very strong attraction for corporate golfers. We have 39 E-Z-GO TXT golf cars, one Refresher vehicle and a ball pusher, all of them supplied by Ransomes Jacobsen Dealers for Scotland, Fairways."

In addition The Fairmont has been trialling two 4-seater shuttle vehicles for ferrying guests between the hotel and its two 4-bedroomed Manor Houses. They are also used for moving officials around during the many tournaments held on the two Fairmont courses.

"We receive excellent, responsive service from Fairways," continued Iain McInally, "which is essential for an investment of this magnitude. I am delighted with the E-Z-GO cars. More importantly, so are my customers."

Fairmont also operates the Delta, Raffles and Swissotel brands, together with many upscale hotels and leisure facilities including the London Savoy, the New York Plaza and Chateau Whistler.
