Machinery dealer Ernest Doe has appointed Derek Marriott as its first Marketing Manager, to be based at the company's headquarters at Ulting, near Maldon in Essex. Mr Marriott joins from Marriott Howard Publicity, the Ipswich-based advertising agency, where he was joint managing director.
The appointment will see Mr Marriott co-ordinating the company's marketing activities across its agricultural, construction, professional grass machinery and consumer markets. His responsibilities will encompass print-related and internet-based communications.
Colin E Doe, Managing Director of Ernest Doe commented "We are pleased that Derek is becoming a member of our team. He has helped with our advertising and promotion for ten years now, so he knows our business well. He also brings to us a wealth of experience gained in other markets, including professional, retail and consumer."
Mr Doe continued, "We have 19 branches covering an area that stretches from the Wash to the south coast. The time has come for us to be more consistent in our marketing approach while at the same time taking advantage of new marketing opportunities that are open to us."
