In spite of the recession, Etesia and its dealers are taking positive steps to increase business in 2010.

In late-September, commercial end users, local authorities and private contractors from London and the north-west home counties flocked to the Annual Open Day and Hog Roast of Etesia dealer, R T Machinery Ltd of Nether Winchenden, Buckinghamshire.

Etesia took the opportunity to show off its latest ride-on rotary mowers, including the new 100cm 4-wheel-drive Hydro 100DX and the Bahia 2 Comfort 80cm model. R T Machinery Ltd was supported at the event by all its major suppliers and the action included machinery demonstrations as well as static displays.

This year for the first time, Managing Director, Richard Taylor invited Steve Gingell of the STRI to present a seminar to delegates. His subject was "Fine Turf Maintenance and Bench Marking".

A week later, Etesia's Bishop Auckland dealer, Lloyd Ltd held a Groundcare Equipment day at Rockliffe Hall Golf Club. Etesia displayed a wide range of their anti-clog ride-on and pedestrian rotaries and Attila brushcutters and visitors had the chance to test machines for themselves. Other manufacturers backed the event which included lunch.

In supporting their dealer network Etesia's UK Sales and General Manager, Les Malin says, "In spite of the credit crunch and fears for the future economy, there is evidence that commercial end users and up-market consumers are still prepared to spend money. We launched six new products at this year's SALTEX which have created great interest. End of year figures for 2008/9 have not been disappointing - so we are very optimistic that 2010 will continue to be good for us."

More Dealer Days up and down the country are planned for the remainder of this year and spring 2010 - for information phone 01926 403319 or email sales@etesia.co.uk.

Etesia also offers free site assessments and demonstrations.
