Professional end users looking for a rugged pedestrian mower designed to withstand the rigours of commercial use, need look no further than Etesia's new PRO51X. This 51cm rotary is the latest heavy-duty model produced by this European company and they have now made it available in the UK in time for the 2009 grass cutting season.
Powered by a 4-stroke air-cooled OHV Honda 5.5hp GXV160 engine, this self-propelled lawnmower has variable speed giving the operator total control in all ground conditions. Designed to cope with a wide variety of mowing applications and deal with the toughest of grass, PRO51X produces a quality finish every time. The secret lies in its aerodynamically formed anti-clog cutting deck and specially profiled blade. The vacuum created beneath the deck lifts the grass to give a clean cut and also aids ejection of the clippings to minimize the risk of blockages.
Central single-lever cutting height adjustment provides a range of settings to suit most applications. For ease-of-use when travelling between sites or emptying the grass box, the machine has an EC compliant blade brake and clutch.
Commercial operators are often faced with the hazard of foreign objects lying hidden beneath rough grass. To cater for this type of situation and prevent unavoidable and costly damage to the power source, PRO51X has engine crankshaft protection. In addition, a rubber "bumper" on the front of the heavy-duty aluminium deck provides protection to the casting.
As with all Etesia mowers, the PRO51X is highly manoeuvrable and has been ergonomically designed for ease-of-use. For operator comfort, the handlebars are fully adjustable - they also fold for storage or transportation between sites. Single-shaft handlebar design ensures that the user's hands are protected from scraping against walls, and other obstacles. All cables are encased in a unique protective rubber sheath to prevent snagging on low branches.
Options include a 72 litre grass collector with "full" indicator and a side deflector. In commercial use, Pro51X carries a twelve month warranty.
