Harrogate sees the official launch of Headland's DewCure onto the European market, one week before the product's American launch at the G.C.S.A.A. show in Orlando.
DewCure is a unique new liquid surfactant, specifically designed to suppress dew and moisture formation on turf, over an extended period.
Amenrican research has reported that minimising canopy moisture can have a positive affect in reducing the incidence of disease. This is particularly important on fine turf areas where grass canopy heights are low and early morning dew vastly increases moisture levels. This situation coupled with a cool outside temperature creates the perfect, below canopy environment for many fungal diseases and dew suppression can play an important part in maintaining a healthy sward.
However DewCure has been shown to not only suppress dew formation but also to have a positive effect on frost. "We have seen treated greens and tees completely clear of frost when other adjacent areas were badly affected," says Headland's Technical Director mark Hunt. "DewCure is a revolutionary product that will add to the turf manager's disease management strategy, and help maintain healthy swards throughout the difficult autumn to spring period."
