Find me a job! - Lee Burton

Position sought - Greenkeeper (ideally first assistant or deputy but any considered) or Sports Turf Groundsman

Location - Lancashire or North West of England

Lee Burton is a greenkeeper with significant experience. After changing ownership several times, the golf club where he was employed as Deputy Head Greenkeeper, became insolvent last March and Lee was made redundant without any notice.

Having just bought a house, Lee took low-paid employment with a Local Authority to pay his bills, but is desperate to return to turf management.

He lives close to the M6 motorway and is ideally looking for work as a greenkeeper or groundsman in the Lancashire area.

Lee entered the greenkeeping profession straight from school, attending Myerscough College in Preston where he was top student in both years of his NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf course. Eager to keep learning, he went on to complete Levels 3 and 4. He also has a First Aid at Work and PA1, 2a and 6 spraying certificates.

Lee considers himself to be a natural leader and a fast learner who likes to pass his knowledge on to others. In his previous position, he was responsible for instructing and supervising the trainee greenkeepers at his course.

Outside work, he is a Special Constable in his local community, where he also tutors others.

Having been brought up on a farm, Lee considers machinery maintenance to be his forte in the workplace. He is computer literate and holds a full, clean UK driving licence.

If you can help Lee, please contact him on 07725088586 or email him at leekburton@googlemail.com. Alternatively, email ellie@pitchcare.com and we'll put you in touch!
