The greater the amount of partnership funding that can be attracted to your project the better. There are numerous ways of raising money to fund new initiatives, such as sponsorship, grants and fundraising events. Where an organisation invests its own money, it also invests more of its own pride, energy and time, improving its position.

Sport England pledges to you that where other funders are involved we will try to organise our decisions to complement other sources of funding. We will endeavour to make our funding commitments as early as possible, to help you approach other funding bodies with evidence of our support.

Sport England are keen to marry funding with other organisations that provide financial support to create and strengthen the best
sports projects.
