Gordon Dunn, General Golf Course Manager at Finesse Leisure, has taken delivery of a fleet of 13 RXV golf cars for the Panshanger Golf Complex in Hertfordshire. They are the latest models from E-Z-GO and were purchased from local dealer Ernest Doe and Sons.

The Panshanger Golf Complex was built in 1975 and features an 18-hole championship course with stunning views over the Mimram Valley, a 9-hole pitch and putt course plus practice putting greens and squash courts.

"We are a particularly hilly course and the traction from these new cars is excellent," said Gordon Dunn. "Compared to our previous fleet we are getting a greater number of rounds, more often than not six per charge. The automatic braking system is superb, particularly from an H&S standpoint as the vehicle does not runaway on steep hills. We have the fleet on a three-year contract hire deal and the terms were very good, tailored to our budget requirements.

Another good feature is the modular construction of the body panels; the bumper surrounds can be easily replaced, making for cost-effective repairs to minor damage, keeping the cars looking good. The ease of maintenance with the automated battery fill system enables us to maintain the batteries in tip-top condition and the onboard charger makes it quick and easy for overnight charging in our dedicated parking bays. These are excellent vehicles and we've even had favourable comments from the golfers!

"My final comment relates to the Ernest Doe team; the sales and service support received from them has been absolutely first class, we have been treated like a valued customer throughout all of our dealings. Long may it continue."

Finesse Leisure Partnership is the operating name for the not-for-profit organisation established in 2004 by Welwyn Hatfield Council to manage and develop facilities and services at four of their established health, fitness and recreation centres in Welwyn Hatfield.
