Pyecombe Golf Course, situated on an escarpment close to the South Downs six miles north of Brighton, has purchased three of the latest RXV golf cars from local E-Z-GO dealer, Mark Fitzgerald Motorculture of Horndean in Hampshire.
The downland location provides good drainage, which means the course is rarely closed, but some of the fairways are steep and undulating, and it was decided to open up the course to a small number of buggies so that the older members can continue to enjoy their golf.
Jason Bowen is the PGA professional at the club and explained why they selected the RXV,
"We liked the inherent safety aspects of the RXV, especially the automatic braking on hills, which is a serious benefit here at Pyecombe. Aesthetically the buggies look good, they are quiet and they are economical to run. All in all, I'm very pleased with our choice."
