The winners of the Environmental Achievement Award and the Conservation Greenkeeper of the Year will be given the chance to visit some of the most famous and best managed golf courses in the world.
The two successful greenkeepers will travel to America where they will meet with superintendents and representatives from the USGA and the Audubon on a select tour of the countries prestigious golf courses. The tour will include Pine Valley, National Golf links of America, Shinnecock Hills, Sebonack and Bethpage Black, home of the 2009 US Open Championships, (subject to final confirmation).
Other prizes include: attendance at Ecology Training Courses and free on-course Environmental Consultancy and Education.
In total fourteen clubs chosen from Wales, Scotland and England will be presented awards across a range of categories including: Nature Conservation, Water Management and Integrated Turf Management.
The prizes associated with each Award will be presented to the greenkeeping team and to individuals that have led or have influenced the implementation of best practice working.

The Golf Course Environment Awards are entirely golf course focused and therefore put the power to succeed, and receive recognition, squarely in the hands of you, the course managers and greenkeeping teams.
