Grassroots rugby league clubs throughout the country have benefited from over £660,000 worth of small grants in the last 12months. They have been used for a variety of projects including boosting playing numbers, qualifying coaches or simply to purchase new kit and equipment.

Barrow Island ARLFC official, John Jefferson commented: "We received £1,000 from the local Neighbourhood Forum to refurbish the toilets at our club after vandals had damaged them. These small grants really help the club from time to time and I'm glad to hear so many other clubs are accessing funds also"

The RFL have supported this process by having online guidance material available to clubs, by continuing to stage funding workshops across the country and via the provision of one to one support by local development officers and service area coordinators.
