Vitax had double cause for celebration at this year's Scotsturf for not only did their new compound fertiliser Enhance R win the New and Innovative Products award for 2010 (in the Fertiliser and Pesticides category), but an important Enhance R end user, Tommy Cummings, Head Groundsman at Inverness Caley Thistle F.C. was crowned IOG Scottish Football Groundsman of the Year.
Simon Gough, MD of Stirling based Terra Firma (Scotland) Vitax's Scottish distributor who supplies Tommy thinks that the title is a tremendous tribute in the face of such stiff competition. "I'd like to congratulate him on behalf of Terra Firma," he says. "Today's turf managers have to be highly technical with diverse skills and techniques and to win in this fiercely competitive field is a great achievement"
Greg Holden, Vitax Amenity's Technical Sales Manager is delighted. "I'm thrilled to bits, for both Tommy and Terra Firma," he says. "This is perfect recognition for the good job that our Scottish distributor is doing for us with a very strong product."
