SoL groundsman Adrian Partridge made a cameo appearance on TV during Saturday's game against Arsenal!

Head groundsman Adrian Partridge won praise from match broadcasters ESPN during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Commentator Jon Champion remarked on the quality of the Stadium of Light playing surface, saying Partridge deserved "a lot of credit", while his name and picture was flashed up to viewers around the world.

Partridge, who usually shies away from the limelight, instantly received a stream of text messages, including comments from groundsmen at other clubs.

He's back hard at work this morning getting the pitch ready for Tuesday night's game against West Ham.
