Hampshire have been handed a two-point pitch penalty after the pitch produced for the Friends Provident t20 match against Somerset, at The Rose Bowl, was deemed to be "poor" by an ECB pitch panel.
The club will be docked those points from the 2011 competition so it won't effect their chances of reaching the knockout stages this year.
The pitch in question produced a low-scoring, tight match where Somerset managed to defend 104 as Hampshire suffered an extraordinary late collapse as they lost six wickets for four runs. Batting was a tough prospect throughout with uneven bounce being the main concern on a relaid wicket.
