Headland Amenity is to unveil Surpass PRO, a new liquid fungicide on stand C25 at BTME, giving turf professionals a belt and braces approach to disease control.
Surpass PRO contains Iprodione, a contact fungicide which offers both curative and preventative activity giving superb control of Fusarium Patch and Red Thread on amenity turf.
Surpass PRO can be mixed with Headland's 'Throttle' fungicide as well as a range of Headland's plant protection products, to give cost effective, programmed disease control where required.
Approved for knapsack, as well as boom application and backed up by Headland's first class technical service, Surpass PRO is the course manager's first choice for disease control in the cooler, slower growing months of the year.
Surpass PRO is approved for use on golf greens, tees and small areas of fairways. Bowling greens, cricket pitches, lawn tennis courts and professional grounds or stadiums can also be treated, along with commercial and residential lawns.
Headland Amenity's Mark De Ath comments: "Surpass PRO offers course managers a complete solution for control of Fusarium Patch and Red Thread as well as the convenience of working with other plant protection products and we are looking forward to introducing it to BTME visitors."
With the UK climate having proved more unpredictable than ever this year, Headland Amenity's WeatherCheck has proved invaluable to course managers across the country and is a continuing success for the company.
Accurate weather forecasting tailored to a specific location is one of the most useful tools for planning course maintenance operations, and can help enhance the efficacy of products such as Surpass PRO when applied in optimum conditions.
Headland Amenity offers a personalised weather forecasting service allowing turf managers to access information on temperature, wind speed and direction as well as rainfall, with the choice of a general seven day forecast or a more detailed projection, which breaks down into three hour segments, providing an extremely accurate overview of conditions.
The innovative 'RainNow' option produces a 25km 'rain radar map' with their sports facility at the centre, and by using the Agronomic module, which combines anticipated rainfall, wind strength, precipitation, air temperature and evapotranspiration, they are able to accurately judge spraying conditions over the coming week.
Mark Todd, Course Manager at the Wildernesse Golf Club, comments: "The service is unerringly accurate, and gives truly local information, which makes it very easy to plan as I can see how much rain is likely to fall, and when, and to check the predicted wind speeds."
Course managers wishing to see WeatherCheck in action can enjoy a live demonstration on the Headland stand.
And as ever, the Headland team will be at the stand to answer any technical questions and help greenkeepers tackle any turfcare problems.
Use plant protection products safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
Surpass Pro contains Iprodione. MAPP No. 15368. Throttle contains Tebuconazole and Prochloraz. MAPP No. 13900. Please refer to the product label or our website (www.headlandamenity.com) for further technical information.
