Hove spectators could be observing a radically different landscape by 2011 if full development proposals go ahead

Sussex have appointed Farnrise Construction as main contractors for the first phase of ground development at Hove.

Farnrise, who operate out of Caterham and Emsworth, will construct new groundsman's facilities, toilets and catering block at the north end of the County Ground, and demolish the Gilligan Stand in readiness for the major building planned for the 2010-11 close-season.

Work will commence on site in early December, with the Gilligan coming down in January.
