Lottery winner Willie Morton collected a £500,000 jackpot yesterday - and declared himself Scotland's most eligible bachelor.

The ecstatic bowling greenkeeper, 61, revealed his girlfriend had dumped him weeks ago and said he was "100 per cent single and on the market".

He added: "I want all the women to know it.

"I would love to meet a special lady, so anyone interested is very welcome to come to The Doon Inn in Blantyre and I'll buy them a pint.

"That's my local - it's a really friendly pub and everyone there knows me, so I won't be difficult to find.

"Of course, I don't want a woman who is just after the money but I think I'll be able to spot the gold-diggers."

Awesome and good on him for pledging to see his responsibilities at the bowls club through.
