It is with great sadness and regret that we inform you of the sudden passing of Ian McMillan, son of Jack and Rita, husband to Karen and father of Callum, Hannah and Daniel and brother of Billy, Bobby, Stewart and Cameron.

I know Ian was known to a great many of you and was held in the utmost respect by his peers in our profession and throughout golf. Ian was an inspiration to many and will be sadly missed.

I have already expressed my sadness on another thread but I would like to repeat how shocked and saddened I am by Ian's untimely death.
He was a unique character who was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about his trade. He had a wonderful way with words and above all was a generous and likeable man who was willing to share everything he knew with anyone who wanted to know.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.

RIP Ian.

Of course the grass looks good. The sun is shining.
