The International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA), the association representing professional equipment managers and technicians, has welcomed two new members to their Board of Directors for 2010.
The first member, Chris Minton, is the Equipment Manager at The Belfry in the West Midlands.

Chris studied Agricultural Mechanics at Moreton Morrell College of Agriculture. After graduating, Chris held various positions within the turf industry before taking up his current position at The Belfry. Chris has been a member of IGCEMA for over two year and has been a major contributor to its successful growth in the UK.

The second member joining the Board of Directors this year is Stuart Hall, equipment manager at John O Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire, where he has been employed since 1987. Having attended horticultural college in Milton Cambridge, Stuart Hall started his career as a greenkeeper until he was given the opportunity to help out in the workshop. Shortly after, Stuart was given the opportunity to attend Shuttleworth Agricultural College where he spent three years learning agricultural engineering.

Stephen Tucker, IGCEMA's newly appointed CEO stated; "It is great to see such a diverse Board of Directors this year. We have members from Australia, United Kingdom, United States and Canada. I think we can really be proud of ourselves for truly making the IGCEMA an International Association. It is great to have both Chris and Stuart on our Board as they are both very enthusiastic about the equipment management profession. We look forward to their input and leadership as we continue to grow around the world."

IGCEMA is dedicated to expanding the education, enhancing the professionalism and improving the image of the Golf Course Equipment Manager and Turf Equipment Technician worldwide. Supported by various manufacturers in the turf care industry, IGCEMA membership is free to join and strives to be an association where members and industry alike can learn from each other.
