Global manufacturer, Kawasaki, has announced the appointment of Richard Harris as Distributor Business Development Manager. Based at Kawasaki's European Engine & Power Products headquarters in the United Kingdom, he will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing Distributors and developing further the Kawasaki network for Engines and Power Products to increase market share throughout Europe.
Richard Harris has over 23 years experience of the agricultural, groundcare and motorcycle market sectors. He also has extensive knowledge of Kawasaki having first joined the company in 1988 as Regional Sales Manager for ATV's, Utility Vehicles, Engines and Power Products. Building on the success he achieved in this role, he was then appointed Regional Business Manager for the Motorcycles Department, a position he held until taking up this latest appointment. Prior to joining Kawasaki, he spent 12 years working for a leading agricultural machinery dealer as a Branch Manager.
According to Jack Ford, Kawasaki's Senior Product Manager: "Having worked closely with Richard Harris since he first joined Kawasaki in 1988, I am delighted to welcome him back to the Engine and Power Products Department. He will be a valuable member of the team and his extensive industry experience will assist in his day to day communications with our network of Distributors throughout Europe."
Away from the working environment, Richard is a keen motorsport fan and an enthusiastic touring and off road motorcyclist.
