* Twickenham head groundsman in Midlands
* Ross Baxter to offer pitch funding advice

Keith Kent, the Twickenham Stadium head groundsman, will be bringing his popular series of pitch maintenance workshops to Moseley's Billesley Common ground on March 22 (7pm) and Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on March 23 (7pm).

'An Evening with Keith Kent' will be staged at Billesley Common and the Binley Woods ground and will focus on end-of-season renovations and maintenance for rugby and football pitches.

The sessions are free of charge and include a workshop with Ross Baxter, the RFU Funding and Facilities Manager for the Midlands, on funding pitch improvement projects.

Kent has been in charge of the hallowed surface at Twickenham, the Home of England Rugby, since September 2002. He previously spent 15 years at Old Trafford as head groundsman for Manchester United, following on from 17 years working at Leicester City FC.

He will be joined by Dave Saltman, director of Pitchcare.com and a Football Association Premiership head groundsman.

Places at the Moseley session can be booked by contacting Adam Caves via email or telephone on 0121 443 3631.

Places at the Broadstreet session can be booked by contacting Charlie McGinty via email or telephone on 07801 869730.

Keep up the good work, Keith... wish I could make it to one of these again myself.

Would thoroughly endorse this event to anyone in the area. One of the best men in groundsmanship, a loyal supporter of those way beneath his standing, has provided me with tremendous assistance over the years.
You only get to the top by being the best and that is certainly true of Keith Kent.

Was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and was great to meet Keith again along with Dave and Lawrence. Just a pity there weren't more clubs represented - the lads in the midlands must have the job sorted !!!!

Looking forward to welcoming Keith back to the north west in the near future.

Agree,
A informative evening. Nice to know that the RFU verti-drain is available for clubs at a decent price? Do wonder how many local clubs actually know about its availability in the area? That`s why meetings like these can be so informative.
I was impressed to see guys as far as blackpool attend so well done.

As for the midlands gary, Big area! i would expect a few more at broad street tonight. Hence having two work shops on over two evenings.

Well done to Keith, dave, Lawrence & moseley rugby club.

Andy.
