Dennis are to repeat their ever-popular bowling green seminars this spring. The series of events are focused on Scotland and Yorkshire, and offer expert advice and tips on how to provide top quality playing surfaces for bowls.

Speakers from Dennis are Alan Ronaldson (Scottish venues) and Toby Clarke (Yorkshire), providing an insight into the company's market leading range of machinery for bowling green maintenance with 'on green' demonstrations. Seminar delegates will get the chance to inspect the new Razor Ultra 560 mower and S500 Plus spiker/slotter at close quarters and learn how these exciting new machines can improve playing conditions on greens.

Expert speakers from the STRI will present modern bowling green maintenance techniques and an 'on green' performance measurement. British Seed Houses' Richard Brown will reveal the latest varieties for bowls, and will explore grass plant nutrition with an emphasis on how specific nutrients benefit grass plants. Presentations will also be given by Roy Daniels of IOG Scotland, Ian Henderson Golf Finance and Adrian Chouner of First Independent Finance.

No Dennis bowls seminar would be complete without a talk from bowling green expert Dave Bracey. Former Head Groundsman for the Metropolitan Police, Dave has taught grounds maintenance for 30 years and developed the original S500 spiker/slotter. His entertaining presentations provide a unique insight into caring for bowling greens to achieve the best possible results.

The events will take place in February and March -

Tuesday 23rd February 2010 - Adel War Memorial & Sports Club, Church Lane, Adel, Yorkshire

Tuesday 2nd March 2010 - City of Dundee Council, Ardler Complex, Turnberry Avenue, Dundee

Wednesday 3rd March 2010 - Bannockburn Bowling Club, Bruce Street, Bannockburn, Stirlingshire

Thursday 4th March 2010 - Fenwick Bowling Club, Bowling Green Lane, Low Fenwick, Ayrshire
