Leaf management demonstration open day at Rugby School

Wednesday 31st October 2007

If you are contemplating the purchase of leaf clearance machinery this autumn, then here's the ultimate demo day to attend.

In kind co-operation with James Mead (Grounds Manager) and Rugby School, Pitchcare has invited a number of manufacturers (see list below) who supply and sell leaf-collecting machinery (blowers, sweepers, vacuums). The companies will be demonstrating their equipment on natural and artificial playing surfaces within the school grounds.

The demo day is targeted at Groundsmen, Greenkeepers, Local Authority Staff, Schools and Landscape Maintenance Contractors.

The agenda for the day will be fairly informal with opportunities for companies to set up working demonstrations of their equipment and demonstarations on-going throughout the day.

The day will start with coffee and tea served between
9.30 - 10.00 hrs

Morning demonstrations
10.00-13.00 hrs

Lunch provided and served (sandwiches, tea/ coffee)
13.00-13.30 hrs
Afternoon demonstrations 13.30 - 15.30 hrs.

If you wish to have further details or wish to attend please contact Laurence Gale, email laurence@pitchcare.com Tel 07817354610.
If you are attending as an individual or groundscare team from any organisation or local authority please also email me to give an indication of numbers attending (catering purposes).

Why was Grasshopper / RECO not invited? They have a great leaf vacuum system.

I use the Egholm Powerflex 2100 from Euromec who specialize in sweepers. It's a great machine for leaves at this time of year but it also has about twenty other attachments.... interchangeable without tools in minutes... just a pity I don't need the snow-blower attachment in the sunny south of England!
