By Lance Bassett
Claymore Grass Machinery has announced lower retail prices for their Simplicity Diesel Legacy tractors. The commercial quality Legacy tractors are available in two-wheel or four-wheel drive, and both models are powered by a 27hp 3-cylinder Briggs & Stratton liquid cooled diesel engine c/w a 54in (137cm) three-blade rotary mower deck.
The 4WD version is now £9357, and standard specification includes 540 pto c/w full three point Category one linkage. This feature is offered as an option on the 2WD which now retails at £7655.
Both models have full hydrostatic drive with cruise control, differential lock and power steering. Surface protection is assured with the fitting of large 26in (66cm) 'Turf Saver' tyres on the rear and 18in (46cm) tyres at the front. Operator comfort is well catered for by the high backed safety seat and ergonomic easy-to-hand controls.
The Legacy range offers a comprehensive line up of attachments to convert the machine into a real labour saving workhorse. A 50in (127cm) rear tiller is available along with roll bar, 46in (117cm) snow blower plus 48in (122cm) front loader and bucket.
Commenting on the new prices Claymore MD Keith Christian said, "We are constantly trying to slow down the ever increasing spiral of higher costs both to our dealers and end customers. It's a great pleasure to be able to
announce these new lower prices with improved specifications for the 2005 season, a great way to start the year."
Prices exclude Vat.
