David Rae, Managing Director of The Fairways Group which comprises Fairways GM, the Ransomes Jacobsen dealer for Scotland, Sportsgrounds Ltd and Wiedenmann UK, reported that the recent IOG Scotsturf exhibition held at the Royal Highland Show was a great success for his organisation. Ransomes Jacobsen is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

"It was gratifying and exciting to see our three group companies promoted from one stand; across the organisation we offer a mix of products and services unrivalled in the Scottish market. It was obvious when speaking to customers and trade representatives that we have come a long way in just two years and are now a well established and respected business," he said.

"It was undoubtedly the best show for us by far and we returned from the show with a selection of orders and full enquiry book to boot. Our stand was visited by a broad spectrum of customers including representatives from our top clubs. I was particularly encouraged by the positive feed back from many of local authority representatives. Everyone who visited us enjoyed the hospitality on stand.

"To cap it all, we won the Best Stand award and that was great justification for the sheer volume of work by both my team and those from Ransomes Jacobsen, who worked long and hard to build the stand, prepare all the equipment for display and man it throughout the course of the Show. It was a true team effort and greatly appreciated."

Ransomes Jacobsen is a subsidiary of Textron Inc., a $10 billion multi-industry company operating in 33 countries with approximately 37,000 employees. The company leverages its global network of aircraft, industrial and finance businesses to provide customers with innovative solutions and services. Textron is known around the world for its powerful brands such as Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-GO and Greenlee, among others. More information is available at www.textron.com.
