Magazine - Myerscough College Trial Canadian Machine

Myerscough College's Sportsturf department have recently taken delivery of an AerWay Sportstine aeration machine.

The machine is at Myerscough on a trial basis and is the first to arrive in this country from the manufacturers in Canada. The Sportstine is a 6-foot heavy duty aeration tine machine for use on golf fairways, sports fields and all large areas of maintained grass. It can even be used mid-season when the need is the greatest and the window of opportunity exists.

Brian King, Senior Lecturer in Sportsturf Machinery at Myerscough College said:

"The College is always willing to participate in trials of new machinery from manufacturers. The students gain valuable experience from seeing new and developmental machinery trialled at the College, which may then find its way on to the market."

Myerscough College offers a range of courses in Sportsturf from entry to Degree level, including National Diploma in Sportsturf, Foundation Degree in Sportsturf and BSc (Hons) Turfgrass Science. Full-time, part-time, work-based and online options are all available to suit everyone from school leavers to those wanting to progress within the industry.
