SheltonsMcNab Sport of Kinross were commissioned to install secondary drainage for Carlisle Council at their Sheepmount Playing Fields, Sheepmount, Carlisle.

Shelton's new 3 tonne gravel band drainer and high lift trailer was selected because it is specially designed for football pitches and would enable McNab Sport to complete the job and meet their customer's demanding schedule in half the time and with only one operator.

The tight time scale, size, complexity and odd shape of the parcel of land meant that their existing 3-point linkage mounted single leg gravel band drainer would have taken them 7 days with two men and so McNab Sport decided to hire the new Shelton machine with the advanced specification.

"The jobs gone really well, it's a fantastic machine; the men say I need to buy one; it's definitely the way to go" said Duncan McNab who also said "I am now pricing for additional work and that if we are successful the 3 tonne Gravel Band Drainer will be our next purchase".
