New Iseki Compact Tractor Introduced by Ransomes Jacobsen

By Peter Driver

Ransomes Jacobsen, a Textron company (NYSE: TXT), has introduced a new Iseki compact tractor, which is ideal for both private customers and professional grounds care applications.

The new machine is the TM3160 Garden tractor which is powered by a 16.9hp, three-cylinder diesel engine. It features four-wheel drive and differential lock, which provides excellent traction when working on slopes or in wet conditions and can revert to two-wheel drive, as and when required, which helps protect tyre wear.

The gearbox provides six forward speeds and two reverse, which will ensure that there's the correct drive for any given application. The TM3160 also features a mid pto, ideal for driving a mowing deck and a rear pto for various mounted tools.

Operator comfort is enhanced by low noise levels due to the engine operating at maximum power at low rpm and stopping safely is not an issue due to its sealed wet disc brakes on all four wheels. Sturdy front and rear axles can cope with the most demanding situations, while access for servicing and routine maintenance is made easy by a flip up bonnet and removable side panels.

Costing just £6,495 before VAT, the TM3160 is competitively priced and will prove to be an ideal workhorse for private landowners and professional grounds care contractors.

Peter Powell, Tractor Manager at Ransomes Jacobsen says, "This tractor is a great package; it's not a consumer tractor that's pretending to be a professional machine, it's a purposed designed grounds care tractor, competitively priced, that will also appeal to private customers with large gardens and significant areas of land to maintain."
