Syngenta has launched a package of application tools and advice to help turf managers get the best possible results from all spray applications. The Art of Application tools are now available direct from Syngenta. Lucky winners of the Syngenta BTME Turf Nozzle prize draw have also been announced.

Greenkeepers, groundsmen and turf managers can now buy the innovative new Syngenta Turf Nozzles through the GreenCast website: www.greencast.co.uk or by calling 0800 652 4215.

Launched at BTME last month (19 Jan 2010), the new nozzles are a key part of the Syngenta Art of Application initiative, designed to improve the accuracy and consistency of all turf spray applications and achieve the best possible results - the right product, at the right time in the right place.

The Syngenta Art of Application tools include:


Syngenta Turf Foliar Nozzle, designed to

· Maximise spray retention on the leaf
· Enhance performance of fungicides, herbicides and growth regulators
· Reduce the risk of spray drift
· Gives more days available to spray
· Be operated at significantly reduced water volumes
· be the nozzle of choice for all foliar applications
The Foliar Nozzle is available at a cost of £60 for a set of 12.

Syngenta Turf Soil Nozzle, designed to

· Deliver more spray through turf into the soil
· Maximise control of soil pathogens Take-All and Fairy Ring
· Significantly reduce water volumes and increase sprayer output
· Eliminate drift concerns
· The nozzle of choice for all soil applications

The Soil Nozzle is available at a cost of £90 for a set of 12.

Syngenta Calibration Checker System

· Quickly check for nozzle wear
· Instantly check water volume application rate
· Easy to use
· Pre-marked for all boom sprayer with 0.5m nozzle spacing
· No calculator required
Syngenta Calibration Checker System is available at a cost of £24

Syngenta Boom Height Indicators

· Constant check that boom is working at then correct height
· Quick and easy to fit
· Does not interfere with folding booms
· Flexible material causes no damage to turf

Syngenta Boom Height Indicators are available at a cost of £5 per pair

Syngenta Art of Application DVD

· Series of video tutorials on sprayer set-up and calibration
· Useful refresher and training aid
· Includes practical tips for more efficient spraying
The Syngenta Art of Application DVD is available at a cost of £10

A complete Syngenta Art of Application Kit, comprising of both sets of nozzles, the Calibration Checker System, Boom Height Indicators and DVD, is available at a cost of £170 - saving over £30 on the individual components.
