New TORO Reelmaster is market's most economical Trim Mower.

By Lucy Ohsten

Toro says its upgraded Reelmaster 2000-D is the most economical diesel trim mower on the market. This new version of the highly popular triplex unit has been specially developed and improved to provide an affordably-priced mower that delivers a superior cut on sports grounds.

The new Reelmaster 2000-D has been given more power than its predecessor, via a 19hp Briggs & Stratton/Daihatsu engine. This delivers the necessary muscle for excellent traction and mowing.

The mower has a 6ft width of cut, with a choice of five-, eight- or 11-blade reels. With manually variable reel speed and height-of-cut range from 1/4in up to 1 3/4in, the mower can meet the cutting requirements of any application. There is also a choice of 2 1/2 or 3in rollers.

Toro had built greater operator comfort into the new version, with both the engine and transmission isolation-mounted to reduce vibration and noise. Additionally the mower's 'hit-to-drop-' function eliminates the need for operators to hold a lever to drop the cutting units.

The mower is two-wheel drive as standard with a PTO switch to engage the cutting units. With the optional three-wheel-drive kit fitted, the PTO switch engages both the cutting units and the tree-wheel drive.

Toro commercial turf maintenance products are distributed throughout mainland UK by Lely (UK) Limited, St Neots, Cambs. (tel: 01480 226800), and in all of Ireland by Lely Ireland Limited, Kilboggin, Nurney, Co. Kildare (tel: 00 353 (0)45 526170).
