Nomix Enviro are proud winners of a Green Apple Award for sustainability. The prestigious award was presented to the company by Professor David Bellamy at a glittering ceremony held at the houses of parliament on Friday 9th November.
Nomix Enviro Marketing Manager Lorna Aiken and Business Development Manager Rachel Robbins collected the silver award for PRODUCT INNOVATION for the Nomix Total Droplet Control herbicide application system.
The Nomix TDC Herbicide System Project was developed to minimise the volume of herbicide put into the environment and provides users with a safer means to spray chemicals.
There are already many thousands of customers using Nomix TDC who achieve an excellent level of weed control without wasteful and environmentally damaging herbicide use.
The long term benefits of Nomix TDC is a herbicide application system that is sustainable. Glyphosate is an environmentally friendly herbicide as it biodegrades rapidly and only effects a chemical pathway found in plants.
The revolutionary Nomix TDC system eradicates the need to mix and measure herbicides, it is very easy to calibrate and use and it applies herbicide accurately and without the wastage of other water based high volume systems.
The Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation. This is an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.
The Green Organisation is funded by membership and sponsorship, with valuable support from the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, the Municipal Journal and several other professional bodies.
