Notts Sport Cricket has played a key role in the refurbishment of one of the best indoor cricket facilities in the country.

The world's leading synthetic cricket surfacing supplier for coaching, practice and matchplay provided two renowned NottsGrass KdK wickets for the indoor school at Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

The Mike Turner Cricket Centre features a host of top of the range facilities including extensive nets, a fitness suite and gymnasium, a physiotherapy room, a bar, hospitality suites, syndicate rooms, a lecture theatre and a media centre.

Two indoor wickets at the centre needed replacing and the club contacted, Leicester-based Dura Sport - one of only five Notts Sport Cricket official licensees - for advice.

They recommended NottsGrass KdK and were able to install the wickets in a short timeframe 'between games' at the club.

Andy Carter, chief executive of Notts Sport Cricket, says: "The playing performance of NottsGrass KdK is in line with our popular NottsWeave product, the highest standard among woven surfaces.

"It's equally responsive to seam and spin and even provides slightly greater grip, making it the perfect choice for a practice facility where players are looking to fine-tune their techniques.

"The practice facilities at Leicestershire CCC are among the very best and their new NottsGrass KdK wickets will prove a real benefit to players of all ages and abilities.

"Our non-turf cricket pitch systems provide consistent playing performance and quality combined with outstanding durability."

The Mike Turner Cricket Centre plays a key role in the development of talent at the club and in the community.

The three cricket nets are available to hire and the Centre also stages school holiday clinics, alongside group and individual coaching for boys and girls aged between six and 14.
