Over 180 guests visit Golf Industry Show in Orlando.

By Peter Driver

The next day was spent visiting the Show at the magnificent Orange County Convention Center, where guests were able to see the huge Jacobsen stand and view some of the new products on display, including a Cushman Diabline branded in Jacobsen colours for use as a golf course utility vehicle. There was also the opportunity to view some of the new innovations on the E-Z-GO stand, particularly the new bed on the ST4x4 utility vehicle and accessories for the MPT range.

Saturday was an intensive day of Product Focus Groups, where all the guests were able to participate and give their views on some of the new developments that are planned by Jacobsen. They were also given an in-depth look at the new MagRazor, a further development of the MagKnife system, which uses ultra thin bottom blades for preparing tournament quality greens.

Sunday was a free day for a majority of the party, who were travelling on to Charlotte in North Carolina the following day to visit the Jacobsen manufacturing facility. Many took the opportunity to visit local theme parks, shopping malls and other attractions that Orlando has to offer.

Commenting on the success of the trip Dave Withers, Ransomes Jacobsen's Managing Director said,
"Definitely the best yet! This is our fourth visit to the Show and they just seem to have got better, year on year. The feedback from our guests has been superb; they certainly had a great time!"

Graham Chambers, Course Manager at Longhirst Hall Golf Club in Northumberland added,
"This was my first trip away with a manufacturer and what a trip it was. The hospitality from start to finish was superb. The visit to the Show was excellent and you really feel that you are having a positive influence at the focus groups. All in all a great trip and one I'll long remember."
